This exhibition presents work produced by seven students in the course Graphic Design and Politics. The speculative projects explore themes related to the economic-socio-political structures of late capitalism: neoliberalism, the cloud/stack, and states of ‘hypernormalization.’ The exhibition design situates work within a dystopian domestic setting, drawing attention to the way that economic and political macro-structures are increasingly embedded in our personal lives and daily interactions.
Collaborated with Julianna Bach, Anther Kiley, Onyou Kim, Sohee Kim, Nadia Korepanova and Dameon Waggoner.
Not Normal was showed at CalArts in May 2017, displaying works by Julianna Bach, Marco Lukini, Onyou Kim, Sohee Kim, Nadia Korepanova, Dameon Waggoner and Guanyan Wu.
