Exhibition curation and catalog design for murmur — a group show featuring eight works by the artist collective of the same name. The exhibition took place between 20-24 June at OSCAM in Amsterdam. Each artist/designer draws from their diasporic and cross-cultural experiences, engaging with the messy, layered, and complex realities of being shaped by multiple cultural identities.
The title murmur refers to the collective movements of migratory birds and gestures toward the layered, often quiet experiences of migration and cultural shapeshifting. It speaks to a shared urgency: to question dominant design paradigms in the Netherlands and create space for critical, plural expressions of being and making.
