LA vs Hate
visual identity, motion graphics, illustration
May – Dec 2020

LA vs Hate is a community-driven creative campaign that empowers Los Angeles County residents to unite, report, and take a stand against hate. For this campaign, I designed the logo and helped shape its visual identity by creating over 100 animated GIFs. Each GIF reflects the unique character of different Los Angeles neighborhoods and communities, allowing them to share the message within their own networks.
Here is a showcase of twelve GIFs that I created for this campaign. All GIFs are available at LA vs Hate Giphy. To use a GIF in a chat, search “LA vs Hate”.
In addition to GIFs, posters, stickers, wallpapers, coloring books and other assets are all open to download and share from lavshate.org.
